The Full Story
About
The Athlete Access Project is a dedicated non-profit helping young athletes protect their bodies and unlock their full potential—regardless of access to resources.
We collect gently-used sports recovery and performance equipment—like resistance bands, foam rollers, and athletic tape—and donate them to youth athletes in programs that lack wellness resources.
This project was created out of a simple realization: many youth athletes are pushed to train and compete hard, but aren’t taught how to take care of their bodies. That lack of access and knowledge leads to injuries, burnout, and lost confidence. We believe every young athlete—no matter their background—deserves the tools and guidance to stay strong, safe, and supported.
We’re starting small, but thinking big. And we’re always looking for people, programs, and partners to join us.

Mission
The Athlete Access Project is a youth-led initiative that collects gently-used sports recovery and performance equipment—such as resistance bands, foam rollers, athletic tape, and mobility tools—and redistributes them to underserved youth athletes. We also provide accessible education on injury prevention, warm-ups, and body care to help young athletes protect their health and perform at their best.
Vision
We envision a world where every young athlete—regardless of income, background, or access—has the knowledge, tools, and support to take care of their body, prevent injuries, and thrive in sports with confidence and longevity.
We believe that performance begins with health, and that empowering youth with recovery resources and education creates stronger, safer, and more sustainable athletic communities.
